Schindler in Russia
Since winning the contract to supply Moscow's Federation Tower - soon to become Europe's tallest building - Schindler has become a well-known name in construction and real estate in Russia. Schindler first established itself in Russia in 1912, when it opened a large factory in St. Petersburg. The company left after the Revolution of 1917, and returned in 1989. Several years ago we bought shares in a company called Liftremont, and began to introduce our products into Russia. Today we are present in St.Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Ekaterinburg and Volgograd. It goes without saying that we are always looking at other cities, too, and that our quality, pricing and service are the same wherever we are.

Research & Development
Innovation is a key pillar of Schindler's strategy, and R&D is something we do not outsource. As a Group Schindler invests the equivalent of more than 2 billion Rubles each year in developing new products and technologies and in optimizing existing ones. The company's engineers also work closely with leading technology institutes throughout the world.
Young talents We recruit talented young people – much younger than in any other country - and provide an environment in which they can develop and grow as professionals. Russia has an advantage in this respect because the high number of young people entering the workforce today means that, in ten or fifteen years' time, the country will have a working population of experienced people who are still youthful and dynamic.
